What you did with the photo essay on the press release is outstanding, the dates are much better too. Love it!
Very dynamic website and publishing web application capable of communicating Arnold Schwarzenegger's Governorship of California.
Featuring announcements, blogs, executive orders, appointments with photo diaries and video, a sub-site dealing with topical issues and all cleverly integrating content based on relevance.
The application also featured dynamic content display, re-arranging pages to make best use of information and resources as they became available.
Working with Jimmy Orr, ex Whitehouse Internet Director, we developed a state of the art news publishing website for the Office of the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Unlike regular publishing applications, ours dynamically managed every page layout to prioritise and maximise the almost constant incoming stream of information, generated by dozens of sources in a variety of media.
A particularly interesting element was the often classified nature of many news items. For example, it would be announced the Governor would be meeting the President, but how, when and where would not be revealed until the last minute for reasons of security.
Thus, the website needed to cope with initially sketchy details, maybe a headline and archive photo, which through the day would be expanded to include photo opportunities, transcripts of speeches, press releases, location video and in-house associated blog articles.
Creating such a dynamic system, which intelligently adapted to the available information was a fantastic challenge and we're very proud of the results.
